An AED for the museum
An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that checks the heart rhythm. If needed, it can send an electric shock to the heart to try to restore a normal rhythm. AEDs are used to treat sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).
The FIMNT was fortunate enough to raise enough funds to secure an AED for the Historic Dockyard Museum through the sale of second hand books earlier this year. The team are grateful to everyone that donated books or came along on the days to support this campaign.
