Yes! Well Done. About 400 million years ago the continents of the Southern Hemisphere all lay together forming a huge mass of land called 'Gondwanaland'. The Falklands were placed in between the south-east coast of Africa and what was to become Antarctica. Over the next 250 million years as 'Gondwanaland' broke up, the southern continents moved to where they are today, including the Falklands, settling about three hundred miles east of the southern tip of South America.
