No. This is what an archaeocyathid fossil looks like, in a block of limestone found at Port Purvis. These primitive sponge-like fossils are much older than all the other fossils found in the Falkland Islands, and were extinct 100 million years before the other fossil-bearing rocks in the Falklands were deposited.
