The Falklands: Then & Now
We have committed ourselves to coming up with a new and exciting exhibition to showcase in the Tim Simpson Gallery each year.
2017 marks the 35th anniversary of the conflict in 1982 so we decided on "The Falklands: Then & Now." This exhibition shows how the Islands have changed and developed since the late 70s and early 80s. It features a bit of everything; from education to the emergency services to the Falkland Islands Defence Force to beer. It also features a mini minefield showing the work done by the demining company, BACTEC.
Acting Governnor, Mr Alex Mitham, opened the exhibition to invited guests during a special reception held on the evening of Friday 9th June.
