End of Season Traditional Dancing & Tea Party
The historic heart of Stanley
That's another year over for the Past Finders! To celebrate, an end of season party was put on for the group at the Parish Hall on Saturday 26th July.
It was a great chance for everyone to get together and remember all the different events they had taken part in over the past year. Sandra made a short speech thanking everyone for their support, including Argos Group Ltd and Stanley Services for their recent support in helping with the purchase of a vehicle. Sandra also gave a special mention to Seaview Logistics Ltd for their continued support and for their recent donation of £6,000. This meant that as well as a buying a 4x4, there will also be enough money to purchase a minibus, which will be a great help when the group go off on their adventures.
Lisa Martin provided the entertainment for the event, getting the children up to do some traditional dancing games and an exhausting 8 minute long Strip the Willow! Vivien Hobman put on an amazing spread of food, added to by the Past Finders, it was a feast fit for King and Queens!
Thank you to everyone who has helped with the Past Finders in any way this past year, there are too many to mention but you are all very much appreciated.
Sandra is away for a well-earned holiday before recommencing the activities in October. We hope that the members of Past Finders have enjoyed the year just as much as we have.
