What is on at your Museum this winter?

BEYOND ENDURANCE – Friday 19th May 7pm start 
Join Emma Brook as she takes you through one of history’s all-time greatest feats of survival and endurance.  This is also your last chance to see our “Beyond Endurance” exhibition. 
FEE: £5 per person – PLEASE BOOK IN ADVANCE

BOOK SALE - Saturday 20th May between 10am and 12pm
Come along for a coffee and grab a book or two at a bargain price!  Donations of old books welcomed.  All money raised will be going towards FIMNT projects. 

Museum closes between May 22nd and June 9thinclusive.  We re-open with new exhibitions including “The Falklands: Then & Now” which looks at how the Islands have changed since 1982. 

THE MUSEUM AT NIGHT – Friday 21st June – 7pm till 9pm
Explore your museum in the dark!  Don’t forget to bring a torch!!

IDENTIFICATION DAY – Saturday 1st July – 10am till 1pm (for children of all ages)
Bring us your beachcombing finds!  We want to see your shells, fossils, feathers, wood, bones and glass! 
FEE: This event is free.

IDENTIFICATION DAY – Saturday 15th July – 10am till 1pm (for adults and children)
With Rex Eagle - Bring your bottles, pottery and anything else you own that you wonder about and see if Rex we can tell you something about it.

GEOLOGY OF THE FALKLAND ISLANDS by Emma Brook- Friday 21st July – 7pm start
Join us for the fascinating geological journey with published geologist Emma Brook.

NAKED IN TIERRA DEL FUEGO by Emma Brook- Friday 11th August – 7pm start 
Learn about the Tierra Del Fuego Fuegians and the South American Missionary Society on Keppel Island.

ANTIQUES LECTURE with Rex Eagle - Friday 18th August – 7pm start
Take a look at antiques used by people in their everyday lives in the Victorian and Edwardian eras. 
FEE: £5 per person – PLEASE BOOK IN ADVANCE

SKETCHING IN THE GALLERIES - Saturday 9th September 10am till 2pm
Sketch objects in the Museum.  Paper and pencils will be provided.  Open to all ages but please let us know if you are coming.
FEE: This event is free

Macmillan Coffee Morning and Raffle – Friday 29th September 9am till 2pm
Join us for our annual Coffee Morning!  Donations of baking and raffle prizes would be greatly appreciated. ALL money raised will be going to Macmillan.  Raffle drawn at 3pm.
FEE: free museum admission on the day.
